From the beginning, UNICUS Fitness has based its successful fitness programs around the idea of “building extraordinary lives through the power of fitness and teamwork.”  It is until now, UNICUS Fitness has remained indoors. Located just steps from Millennium Park, Lake Michigan and beautiful Grant Park, UNICUS Fitness has decided to take their unique programming outside. With beautiful Chicago scenery and the top fitness programming in Chicago, UNICUS Fitness’ OUT DOOR BOOT CAMP will convince anyone that working out can be fun, exciting and a unique team building experience…WITH AMAZING RESULTS!

            UNICUS Fitness OUT DOOR Boot Camp is a one month program that runs twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday) for 75-90minutes. In the 75-90 minute classes, participants will lean out and tone their bodies with a variety of exercises all promoting team unity. With our “no camper left behind” policy, participants will be encouraged to motivate each other and push one another in order to accomplish the day’s task.  Whether it be to complete that final set of stairs, sprint to finish that final relay run, or crank out 60 seconds of Atomic Sit Ups, participants will train like marines and learn to build “extraordinary lives through the power of fitness and teamwork.”

UNICUS Fitness Out Door Boot Camp is an intense workout designed for only those with a strong foundation in cardiovascular fitness.  All participants are required to be able to run at least one mile with out stopping.

Weather Policy:  Classes will be continue as schedule, weather permitting. If rain, thunder, snow or temperatures below 40 degrees or above 100 degrees occur, class will be moved indoors to the Fitness Lair (233 N. Michigan Ave).  All participants will be notified via email by 5pm. Classes meet at the Fitness Lair so weather should not have too big of an effect on the schedule.

Break-Down of Class

  • ·         Class will meet twice a week (Monday/Wednesday) for 75-90 minutes. (Weather permitting, see weather policy for details).
  • ·         Each participant will need to bring a resistance band every day to class. Bands can be purchased through UNICUS Fitness for $15.
  • ·         Class will depart from the Fitness Lair at approximately 7:05pm SHARP! (An assistant instructor will wait an additional 5 minutes for stragglers)
  • All participants interested in joining must be able to easily run one mile
  • ·         Class will run as a group to the workout destination site. Distance ranges from .25 mile to about .75 mile. (one of 4 designated areas. See Map).
  • ·         Class will perform workout (workouts vary, see examples
  • Approximately 8pm, class will run back to the Fitness Lair where stretching and cool
